What I am up to right now.

• I am trying to avoid doomscrolling as much as possible, but still somehow failing. The bad stuff keeps seeping in.
• I started watching Day of the Jackal and It’s pretty good! It reminds me a little of Gangs of London, which is another violent British series from Sky. Great cast, great action. I’m about half-way done, and then I will tackle Severance season 2.
• Still making a few tweaks around this site. I found my old archive of blog posts from 2000-2008-ish era, which number at 997 entries. Most of these are from my college years. I’m screening them for ultra-stupidity (I was an ultra-dumb kid), but have started migrating them into the new blog. Not all of them will make the cut, but I promise to bring the best of the worst. They all exist in a plain-text export from my original Movable Type CMS site, so I had to write a script that would parse the file and spit out a bunch of Hugo-compatible Markdown files (I just wanted you to know how hard I worked to bring you some of my old shitposts.) Also, holy shit I was (still am?) an idiot.
• We are moving to Nebraska and have a contract on a house 🏡. There are things we will miss about New Hampshire, and when we think of them, I will post them here. I guess NH has better seafood? More snow if you are into that? I will definitely miss proximity to Boston. Boston has really become one of my favorite cities in the US. Very walkable, great food, fun history…just a tremendous place to spend time.
• Also, since I’m listening to the soundtrack right now and am reminded of it: HBO’s Watchmen series was a tremendous achievement. It took me five years, but I finally got to it in my queue and adored it. The soundtrack is also great, duh.
